From Our Chairman
Dear Clinton Township Parents & Friends:
What is the Clinton Township Foundation?
The Clinton Township Foundation for Educational
Excellence (Foundation) is a non-profit, grass
roots organization made up of concerned parents
and community members. The Foundation funds
innovative educational programs initiated by
teachers and administrators in the Clinton
Township school district. Foundation grants
impact every school in Clinton Township,
benefiting over 1,700 students and raising the
educational bar for students, administrators and
township residents as a whole. In the 2006-2007
school year alone, the Foundation funded 20
grants totaling over $40,000. Recent grants
include programs such as; new teacher libraries,
the purchase of fitness, art and music
equipment, including a brand new grand piano for
the Clinton Township Middle School; incentive
programs in reading, math and science and
funding for field trips and in-school
educational presentations.
.
Why Should You Care?
The financial challenges facing the Clinton
Township public schools are increasing each year.
The Foundation is dedicated to supporting our
schools by funding programs that are not
provided through the regular school budget.
Growth in our community, coupled with reductions
in state aid, have decreased the funds available
for for enrichment programs and staff training.
The Foundation is instrumental in filling that
gap.
What Can You Do?
Last year, approximately 100 families
contributed to the Foundation, yet we have over
800 families with children in our schools. It’s
time for everyone to participate and therefore
we are asking every family to contribute an
amount that is meaningful to them. Whether you
contribute through our
